Congressman Andy Kim Endorsed by National Organization VoteVets

MOORESTOWN N.J. – Today, Congressman Andy Kim announced he and his campaign for New Jersey’s U.S. Senate seat has been endorsed by VoteVets as he seeks to replace indicted Senator Bob Menendez.

“This campaign is about creating a grassroots movement to bring change to New Jersey, and I’m proud to have VoteVets PAC at my side in that fight,” said Congressman Kim, who recently received New Jersey’s Civilian Meritorious Service Award and was previously named the New Jersey Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Legislator of the Year for his work on behalf of New Jersey veterans. “Our Veterans deserve someone representing them in the Senate who is proven and battle tested. They deserve someone who has a record of fighting for them and not just themselves. It’s a humbling experience everyday getting to be an advocate for those who served and with VoteVets PAC’s help, I know I can continue that work in the U.S. Senate.”

“Andy Kim is as committed a public servant as you’ll find, with the national security expertise to keep America and our Troops safe,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran and Chairman of VoteVets PAC. “He is absolutely selfless and in public office for all the right reasons and respects our system of government, which we all saw after the violent insurrection on January 6, when he got on his hands and knees at midnight to clean up the Capitol. Andy Kim also will keep this Senate seat in Democratic hands and help Democrats keep hold of the Senate. It is crucial that he is the Democratic nominee for Senate in New Jersey, and that he is elected.”

Congressman Andy Kim has lived a life of public service — first as a national security official and now as a three-term Congressman. He is battle-tested by beating multiple self-funding millionaires in a district carried by President Trump.

In his three terms in Congress, Andy has deep experience in working to deliver for the people of New Jersey, including to improve health care for veterans and relief for homeowners suffering from Superstorm Sandy. He has been a leader in strengthening congressional ethics and getting money and its corrupting influence out of politics.

As a son of immigrants and a graduate from New Jersey public schools, Andy brings important diversity to Congress. He made history as the first Asian American elected to federal office from New Jersey and is part of a younger generation of leaders in the Democratic Party. He, and his wife Kammy, are raising two troublemaking boys down the road from where he grew up.
