Congressman Andy Kim Announces Formation of Black Clergy Advisory Council For His U.S. Senate Race
Moorestown, N.J. - Today, Congressman Andy Kim announced the formation of his Senate campaign's Black Clergy Advisory Council. This council will advise on all issues of importance regarding the Black faith community so that he can fight for their values in Washington DC.
"Representation starts with listening, and this advisory council will ensure that I’m hearing directly from leaders in the faith community about the challenges they face and the opportunities we should come together to seize,” said Congressman Andy Kim. “Having the input of such a broad coalition is invaluable, and I appreciate the guidance and perspective of these leaders. I look forward to working with the Council to ensure that the priorities of communities of color are fully represented and executed in Washington."

I look forward to working with Congressman Kim to give due visibility to Black voters and priorities.”

As a son of immigrants, a graduate from New Jersey public schools, and a young dad, Andy represents a new generation of leadership in the Democratic Party and is committed to making sure all voices are heard when making decisions. He made history as the first Asian American elected to federal office from New Jersey. He, and his wife Kammy, are raising two troublemaking boys down the road from where he grew up.
